REVIEW OF
GABRIELLA'S VOICE
The narrative of Gabriella's Voice is by turns rousing, lyrical, and
intoxicating. In less capable authorial hands, the operatic references
might have been construed as the fusty encyclopedic intrusions of an
overzealous aficionado. Michael J. Vaughn manages to captivate us with
these references, to subtly infuse this unique love story with the passion
and expansiveness of spirit inherent in fine opera. Gabriella's Voice
soars to voluptuous heights while never abandoning its more meditative
navigation of the heart's innermost depths and longings. Graced as it
is with a compelling plot, engaging characters, and the interweaving
of a mythos, at once sorrowful and wondrous, Gabriella's Voice is the
work of a virtuoso. Bravo, Michael J. Vaughn. Bravo.
